On January 31, 2024, Mr. Toda, the representative of Forum2050, was invited to the “Peace Future Discussion Group” hosted by Wako City and held a dialogue with all students at Yamato Junior High School in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning, Mayor Shibasaki introduced the students to the Peace City Declaration that Wako City made in March of the previous year towards a new era. After that, a dialogue towards the future of the world was held under the observation of the Mayor, Mr. Ishikawa, the Superintendent of Education, and citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even the third-year students who were just before the entrance exams actively submitted comments in advance. From there, it was possible to catch a glimpse of the students’ conflicted feelings between what they can do and what they want for the future world, or between their own happiness and interests and the happiness and interests of others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am looking forward to seeing how the questions raised in the children’s hearts will enrich their hearts in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
