On April 21, 2023, the new book ‘Beyond Development and Ultra-SDGs’ by Mr. Takao Toda, representative of our organization, was published by Soseisha.
While it traces the trajectory of the author, an expert in international cooperation and development, it is not simply an academic text nor a memoir. Its purpose is to engage with the future, and it is intended to be accessible to junior high and high school students as well. As stated in the ‘Introduction’ of the book, ‘I would be very happy if those who are trying to live better now, those who are seeking the meaning of life, and others could also read it.’
Particularly, in Chapter 7, ‘Facing the Future – Beyond the SDGs,’ the author expresses the aspirations that led to the establishment of our organization.
