Currently working as a Development Consultant at IC Net Limited, engaged in projects related to peacebuilding and education.
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), 2012–2022:
Worked on project formulation and development in Bangladesh and Nepal, served in Jordan, and handled both internal corporate legal matters and project-related legal affairs. While stationed in Jordan, also volunteered as a teacher at a Japanese supplementary school.
As an extracurricular initiative in the lead-up to the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, proposed an international exchange program to Suginami City. With the cooperation of senior JICA officials, including directors responsible for South Asia and East and Central Asia, as well as the Chief Representative of the JICA Pakistan Office, organized an online exchange between Pakistani Olympic athletes and elementary school students in Suginami. Also helped arrange participation in the Suginami Festa by the embassies of Pakistan, Uzbekistan, and Paraguay, together with traditional cultural organizations and restaurants representing those countries.
Alongside this work, served as a Sports Promotion Committee Member for Suginami City, a part-time municipal position, helping to plan and operate community sports events.
Junior High School Teacher, 2023–2025:
Earned a teaching license through a correspondence program while working at JICA. During teaching practice at a junior high school in Suginami, organized an online exchange with the JICA Nepal Office.
Worked for three years as a junior high school social studies teacher in Yamanashi Prefecture at Showa Municipal Oshihara Junior High School, which has approximately 600 students. Served as a homeroom teacher for Grades 7 through 9, and held responsibilities including Student Council Coordinator, Head of Social Studies, ICT Coordinator, Adviser to the Election Management Committee, and Adviser to the Natural Science Experiment Club.
As part of English, social studies, and career education classes for the grades under my responsibility, organized online exchanges with the JICA Indonesia Office and JICA Vietnam Office.
Submitted and presented a report on exchange-based learning with Nepal at a prefectural education research association. Also gave several presentations at local teachers’ research groups on official development assistance (ODA) and personal international exchange initiatives.
University Years:
Founded the Japan-Rwanda Student Conference, a student organization promoting exchanges with Rwandan students, and served as its representative. Raised funds to invite Rwandan students to Japan and organized exchange programs in Tokyo, Tottori, and Hiroshima.
The organization continues to operate today, and I remain involved by supporting its fundraising activities.
